Program Consultation
Consultants provide personalized ongoing support with a focus on best practices for implementation of the Primary Project core components.
What is consultation?
All Primary Project schools are paired with a consultant to provide ongoing assistance in the implementation of program core components, with specific attention to finding solutions to challenges that may arise, and to support maintenance of the program over time. Your consultant is available to answer questions to support high-quality programming right from the start. Consultation plays a critical role in the success and sustainability of programs.
How often does consultation occur?
Consultation frequency varies based on the needs of programs. Consultation can occur through virtual or in-person visits, telephone calls, and/or email.
Consultation can provide:
- Program start-up advice
- Screening and selection best practices
- Practicing child-centered skills strategies
- Advice for best use of playroom space
- Child-specific issues that may arise
- Program evaluation and strategies for sharing data with stakeholders
- Strategies for integrating the program into the school community
- Processing the year in review
- Development of a plan for the subsequent year with goals and timelines
- Preparation for National Certification
