Hi there! I'm Carolyn Feinberg, an Infant Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant with a background in Early Childhood Development and Special Education. My passion is supporting the social and emotional well-being of our youngest learners, believing that a strong mental health foundation in early life fosters lifelong resilience and healthy relationships. I have my Bachelor’s Degree in early childhood development & Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. I also hold a professional teaching license in the state of New York. I taught Special Education in Pre-K through 3rd Grade for the past 14 years before starting my role as an Infant Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant. Outside of work, I enjoy exploring the vibrant restaurant and coffee scene in Rochester, reading, staying active through fitness, and spending quality time with my dogs.

WHAT I DO AT CHILDREN'S INSTITUTE

Infant Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation (IECMHC) is an evidence-based approach that supports young children's social-emotional development and addresses challenging behaviors. It involves a collaborative relationship between a mental health consultant and caregivers, such as early care providers or family members. IECMHC focuses on enhancing the skills of staff, families, and programs to prevent, identify, and address mental health issues in children from birth to age 6.
