CI Leaders Interviewed on Rochester in Focus

In October, CI announced a brand refresh and an organizational move in this press release. On Sunday, November 19, Children’s Institute was featured on Rochester in Focus to discuss this exciting and unifying new chapter in CI’s journey. Briana Collier interviewed Executive Director Ann Marie White, Ed.D., and Director of Organizational Transformation, Diane Trentini. They were asked questions about the history of CI and how it came to be, the brand refresh, and the new location downtown where CI is moving.

“We had all of these separate really interesting programs that helped children and families and partners in different spaces,” says Diane Trentini about the brand refresh, “but they each had their own logo and people might know us as the one program or another program but they didn’t understand the overarching principles and the fact that it was all coming out of Children’s Institute.” The brand refresh gives Children’s Institute an opportunity to align, both externally and internally, with the united goal of raising every child’s complete wellbeing, while also making it clear to the community that this is the goal.

The move aims to support these goals as well. About the move, Diane said, “It’s an opportunity to be in the city closer to the neighborhoods we are hoping to connect with and serve more directly.” Dr. White commented, "... by moving to this new location, we’re front-facing, we’re part of the street, we’re down the street - from our wonderful center city. Transportation will be accessible for families and [other] people. We can really engage with our mission and with our community in a new way - more central and more accessible."
