The Children’s Institute provides Get Ready to GROW screenings to young children. We had acquired a Mobile Screening Unit, aka the Bus, five years ago to aid in this effort. Our team would take the bus to childcare centers and other locations to enable multiple screenings on-site. Then COVID happened.

Since the pandemic, we no longer have the same opportunity. The childcare sites no longer have the personnel available to enable/supervise a trip outside the building for screening. We are also facing our own workforce and funding challenges.

Sadly, it’s time to sell the bus.

I am hopeful, however, that we can find an organization to use it.

We have listed it For Sale at the original builder’s site (Farber Industries, Ohio) and they are actively seeking buyers. They also have the capability to further modify the vehicle for other uses, if needed.

The bus can enable mobile medical screening visits or publicize your organization with a “mobile billboard” or other possible uses – you will know what is best for your organization.
