Ashellee Toweh accepted to Forward Promise Fellowship

CI employee Ashellee Toweh has been selected as a Forward Promise Fellow!

CI is thrilled to announce that staff member Ashellee Toweh has been accepted into the Forward Promise Fellowship! The Fellowship aims to help leaders who work actively to address the issue of dehumanization in the lives of the BIPOC families we serve.

Ashellee is an Infant Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant and leads the Behavioral Supports for Children program at Children's Institute. She ensures that the specific needs of the children and early childhood teachers are met using a one-on-one, individualized approach to improve social, emotional, and communicative competence, and reduce the impact of behavioral problems in the classroom. , with a focus on the family, helping parents to support their children’s success.

As a Forward Promise Fellow, Ashellee will have the opportunity to rest, reflect, and recharge; all things that are integral to the sustainability of her work. This Fellowship focuses on the physical, emotional, and spiritual health of Fellows. Through both community building meetings and retreats, the program helps Fellows develop a support network within their cohort and beyond, while also providing them with additional tools to combat the personal and communal impacts of historical and racial trauma. We are delighted that Ashellee will experience the benefits of this healing fellowship!
