On April 5th, over 50 children, accompanied by their parents or grandparents, participated in Rochester Regional Health’s Spring Scrubs Club event. This engaging and educational event aimed to build healthcare career awareness among K-5 students through a series of fun, experiential activities. CI’s Family Advisory & Impact Council decided as a group to support this community event. Council members do so through leadership, volunteering, presenting, and participating with young family members.

The Goal of Scrubs Club

The primary objective of Scrubs Club is to introduce young children to the world of healthcare. By participating in various hands-on activities, children learn about the importance of preventive medicine and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The event also helps children become comfortable with medical terms, practices, and instruments, introduces them to different healthcare careers, and fosters trust and knowledge of the medical system.
