Congratulations to all the supporters of the fabulous Fall Extravaganza! Held on September 25, 2021, the event celebrated the grand opening of the Kaboom Adventure Zone at Grand Avenue Park. The families, partners, food, fun, dancing, vaccinations, resources, and joy were all wonderful!

Children’s Institute and Get Ready to GROW had the honor of participating. It was a day full of smiles and warmth.

Many families signed GROW consents and requested to be contacted to schedule screenings. Others took time to talk with us about the successful screenings and follow-up that their children have received in their preschool programs.

ROC the Future reports a total of 325 attendees and 76 people received vaccinations at the event. 100 children painted pumpkins and a countless number experienced the playground and the Adventure Course! Lastly, eight lucky winners were thrilled to hear that they had won a $50 gift card!

The planning team will be reconvening to do a follow-up event on October 16, 2021, at the same location. This event will be more in line with a traditional health fair, primarily to provide a second dose for those that were vaccinated.
