The Gift of Relationships
As 2024 draws to a close, our Primary Project team gathered for a celebratory lunch. We were joined by Debbie Johnson, the former Director of Primary Project and the leader of National Services at Children’s Institute. Debbie served in her role for almost 40 years teaching others in California and New York State about the significance of building strong relationships with children through the power of play. Debbie’s dedication to her work has transformed the lives of so many children, and her countless gifts continue to impact a new generation of Primary Project schools, team members, students and families. It was an afternoon to remember!
We shared many gifts around the table, and we were reminded that the best gifts may not be bought but rather shared by the “presence” of others! Together we shared the gift of time, wisdom, humor, laughter, reflection of a rich program history, and our vision for children and families. This holiday season, our wish to all our Primary Project partners is the gift of time to celebrate and connect with one another! Have a merry holiday season and best wishes for a healthy and playful New Year!
