Welcome to our new Intern, Falastin Ibrahim

09 Sep 2020

My name is Falastin Ibrahim. I was born and raised in Rochester, New York. I am a junior at Nazareth College; majoring in social work with a minor in child and family development. I am considered hard-working, responsible, and empathetic. Once I graduate with my MSW, I will strive to receive my license to become a therapist. The reason why I chose social work is because I have a passion for helping and advocating for individuals and families. I will be working at Children's Institute for my junior field placement which I am very excited about. I will be working with Kristin Lynch on the Get Ready to GROW program; we will be performing developmental assessments (GROW Checks) on children, ages one through five. I will also be assisting parents by doing initial screenings and recommending resources and needed services for their children and following up with them to confirm if resources are beneficial. In my free time, I enjoy working out and spending time with family and friends.
